Elenco de los Phthiraptera (Insecta) hallados en distintas poblaciones locales de Ctenomys (Rodentia: Octodontidae) de Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia y Brasil

Abstract

The authors deal with 20 species of Phthiraptera in the genera Phtheiropoios Eichler, 1940 (Amblycera: Gyropidae) (14.species, all recorded in Argentina, 2 in Uruguay. l in Paraguay. one in Bolivia and I in Brazil), Gyropus Nitzsch, 1818 (Amblycera: Gy1vpidae) (1 species in Argentina) and Eulinognathus Cummings. 19(6 (Anoplwa: Polyplacidae) (5 species, l in Bolivia and 4 in Argentina, I ofwhich doubtfully citedfor Paraguay). They were found after the examination of JO local populations belonging to at /east 36 species and subspecies of Ctenomys, indudíng alsc data from the current literature in those cases in which the identity o/ the [(ce has been verified O/ these, 4 I are from Argentina, 5 from Uruguay. 2 from Paraguay. 1 from Bolivia and 1 from Brazil.
