The aim of this paper is to give an account of part of our teaching experience in History of the Americas I, a subject taken by undergraduate students in History at the Faculty of Humanities, at the National University of Salta (Argentina). The team of teachers is composed of professionals trained in the fields of Anthropology, History and Archeology. This article proposes that the teaching practice should involve multiple insights, reflections and discussions in the daily practice in the classroom about course syllabus and the challenge to transfer them from an interdisciplinary and constructivist perspective. In addition, it considers the importance of constructing scientific knowledge, including this present investigation, when thinking about the link between teaching and research. This approach renders conceptual and experiential integration into practice, through workshops, visits to archaeological sites, local museums, or the market.
