This article analyzes the meanings (Pêcheux, 2016; Authier-Revuz, 1984) associated with work in discourses formulated by people who are or have been involved in sexual exploitation and sex work in Argentina. The objective is to identify the regularities and tensions displayed in a specific publication, which contains the two positions that are considered antagonistic in this debate (abolitionists and regulationists) and that, as a polemical effect, dispute the differential and polysemic status of the word work. To this end, it methodologically proposes the procedure of trimming (Orlandi, 1984) and structuring of discursive series (Glozman, 2018, 2020b) for the analysis of textual fragments in which reflections related to work appear.
