Peer victimization is a significant risk factor for adolescent mental health. One of the most severe correlatives of victimization is selfharm and suicidal ideation. Few studies, however, have examined whether victimization predicts self-harm and suicidal ideation above the level of previous depression. A sample of 532 teenagers was taken from three public middle schools in the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos. 41% were male, and the average age was 13.8 years. The results suggested that 69% were not involved, 19% victim, 5% perpetrator and 7% both. The victims of bullying and the group of both had a higher level of self-harm and suicidal ideation compared to those not involved. Females score higher than males in self-harm and suicidal ideation. Victimization was a predictor of self-harm and suicidal ideation over depression.
