This paper presents and analyzes new versions of legends about hidden and dangerous treasures recorded in the city of Bahía Blanca. The informants were students in the first cycle of an adults' school. In these versions they describe the danger that represents digging up the treasures, especially silver left behind by the Mapuche Indians when they were escaping from white people.
