In this paper I aim to provide a proper description of the method used by Fichte in the development of his philosophy. Indeed, Fichte explicitly refers to his own method as a “deduction” in all his writings of Jena period (1794-1799). Although this deductive method is originally inspired by the Kantian philosophy, acquires a further development in the philosophy of Fichte. In the context of the Doctrine of Science, Fichte systematically uses the method of transcendental deduction to prove the principles of all human knowledge (theoretical and practical). It is also possible to argue that the adoption of the deductive method by Fichte is closely connected with the practical significance of his philosophy.
