Based on the analysis of the works that Néstor García Canclini (1939) prepared about the literary work of Julio Cortázar, Macedonio Fernández and Octavio Paz between 1968 and 1972, in this article we propose to identify what questions about the aesthetic arose when reflecting on the stories, novels and poems of these authors. One of the issues that appear invisible in the discussions and debates within studies linked to anthropology, communication or the sociology of art, is how García Canclini, Graduate in Philosophy from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), Doctor in Philosophy from the UNLP and the University of Paris X-Nanterre, he moved from strictly philosophical studies towards aesthetic reflections in a broad sense and in particular towards literary and artistic production. The aesthetic questions that we propose to investigate will allow us to approach these first analyzes of the Argentine philosopher as a process of interpretation in the key of questioning all realism in the artistic and literary field.
