Resumen

This dataset comprises responses from an Argentine community sample (N = 706) collected to examine pathological personality traits and levels of personality functioning within contemporary dimensional models of personality pathology. The database includes scores from two instruments: (a) the Argentine adaptation of the PID-5, assessing 25 maladaptive personality facets and 5 higher-order domains, and (b) a newly developed Argentine measure of Personality Functioning aligned with Criterion A of the AMPD. Sociodemographic variables (e.g., age, gender) are also provided. All data have been fully anonymized and contain no identifying information. This dataset enables research on dimensional models of personality pathology, psychometric evaluation, and the structure of maladaptive traits and personality functioning.

Métodos

This dataset contains information on maladaptive personality traits and personality functioning collected from a community-based convenience sample of 706 adults residing in Argentina. Participants The sample consisted of 706 adults recruited through convenience sampling methods, including online dissemination, social media announcements, and institutional networks. Participation was voluntary and anonymous. Data Collection Procedure Data were collected via an online self-report survey administered between 2024 and 2025. All participants provided informed consent prior to participation. Measures •PID-5-A (Sánchez et al., 2023): Argentine adaptation of the Personality Inventory for DSM-5. Assesses 25 maladaptive personality facets and 5 higher-order domains. •PFS-A (Montes & Sánchez, 2025): Argentine adaptation of the Personality Functioning Scale assessing Criterion A (self and interpersonal functioning). •Additional variables: sociodemographic information (age, gender, educational level), and self-reported psychological/psychiatric treatment status.
