The research is based on theoretical contributions from the perspective of the social production of space, as well as from the fields of segregation and mobility studies. In the methodology we seek to approach the perspective of the inhabitants. As a general result, we can anticipate that these conflicts over patrimony in Chacras have the potential to reverse or attenuate the mercantilist dynamics that currently guide urban development.
