Comodoro Rivadavia City and Rada Tilly City have a distance of 20 km between them. They present irregular topographies and sometimes architectonical designs include constructions with floors and slabs with refilled materials under them. Soils in these cities can be since clay stones to sand stones both with marine origin. Refilled materials can be granular materials or local soils but both need to be inspected during their use. Good granular soil can be used but if the control during the construction is bad, it could bring several problems with it. The use of expansive soils as refilling without an appropriate treatment is as dangerous as the use of a bad compacted selected granular refilling. Then the use of refilling is a critical point in the beginning of the construction and the incorrect employment of them would end in falls in the building. In this article, two historical cases are developed. One with refilling made with granular material and the other with an expansive clay. Both cases developed pathologies as a consequence of the refilling. And both ended in trials.
