In the north-east of Rio Negro province natural process and anthropogenic disturbance, like prolonged drought, over grazing and land use changes, contributed to diminished vegetation cover and enhance degraded soil surface. In front on this stage, is necessary to development strategies for recomposing actual state form these areas. Restoration ecology appears like an important option to ecosystem regeneration, and native species are an important factor to recover the vegetation cover. For this task is necessary obtain seedlings to same degree of development. e main objective in this study was to identify pregerminative treatments addecuate for some woody species, as Prosopis flexuosa, Condalia microphylla, Geoffroea decorticans, Schinus johnstonii, Prosopis caldenia, Prosopis alpataco andProsopis denudans in order to obtain healthy plants. Seeds of the mentioned species were collected in northeastern Río Negro province and treated whit physic and chemic scarification treatments. Time to exposed seed to scarification medium were 32’ and 64’. Selected medium was sulfuric acid. Species of Prospis genus, except Prosopis denudans, showed best response to chemic scarification. Geoffroea decorticans, Condalia microphylla and Schinus johnstonii no presented significant differences in scarification exposition time; however, a tendency to obtain a best response compared with mechanic scarification.
