First published in 1941, José Pedroni’s El pan nuestro revolves around the universe of the agricultural machinery factory "Nicolás Schneider (Hijo)". Throughout the book, the factory is presented through the synecdoche, through its parts: both its objects and its actors-characters. After reviewing the place of Pedroni in Argentine poetry at the time El pan Nuestro appeared, this article recovers from the poet's correspondence definitions and opinions that establish a set of poetic values, condensed into one: simplicity. Subsequently, this paper analyzes the configuration of a poetic language in the face of the materiality of the things that it places as references, as well as the work of recreating the voices of the actors-characters, through certain procedures and the work with versification.
