The Arendt’s recovery of Aristotle has often led to criticisms against her thought, based on nostalgia for the past, the idealization of Greek politics and the boundaries between poíesis and prâxis. I believe that Arendt's view of Greek antiquity and the Aristotelian contributions of political thought have the particular advantage of calling into question the current understanding of certain human behaviors and allows to rethink those elements which that, in our culture, are currently in crisis and undermine the human condition. From this perspective, in this paper I try to examine the recovery of Aristotelian concept of mímesis in the framework of Arendt's conception of political action, focusing on the relationship between prâxis and poíesis that mímesis promotes.
