This system, despite its many virtues, has a simple structure based mainly on propositional logic and alethic modal logic, which is not able to account for the dynamic nature of the actions that, precisely, constitute the norms’s object. Because of this, von Wright refined his conceptual structure and developed, in his work Norm and Action (1963), a new and more complex deontic logic’s system, which is able to represent the change and dynamic character of actions. However, this system is not exempt from important conceptual problems and difficulties. The following paper aims to analyze the structure and the main theoretical elements of Norm and Action’s system and to show some of its most important conceptual problems.
