In digital and collaborative writing, students interact and review their texts in three dimensions: ideational, linguistic-discursive and multimodal dimension. In this article we present a qualitative research about exchanges and revisions made by students from secondary and higher level in Buenos Aires during a digital and collaborative writing activity in Google Drive. With a multiple cases study, we analyze interactions between students and successive text versions. Results show that in one hand, students discuss and modify different aspects of their work taking into account previous knowledge in mentioned dimensions. On the other hand, differences observed between cases can be related to educational level and the kind of text developed. These results allow us to discuss some ideas about digital and collaborative writing and to propose didactic guidelines for the writing activities in educational environments.
