In this article, we focus our attention on the regulations that have been produced in recent decades to regulate the management function and organize the work of school principals at the secondary level in the province of Córdoba (Argentina). The outdated regulations, the multiplicity of duties, tasks and attributions and the scarce emphasis on the consolidation of management teams are some of the problems derived from the current regulations. This paper is part of a doctoral research in progress, focused on the work of school principals in two secondary schools in the city of Cordoba, Argentina, and in the city of Malaga, Spain. The research is a qualitative study with an ethnographic approach, using document analysis, in-depth interviews and direct observation as sources of information.
