Since the 1980s, the human rights movement has been studied by various disciplines—although late by history. After the initial approaches, which formed a ‘classic’ narrative around it, the studies gradually expanded and became more complex. Although this vision was sometimes referred to as ‘bonaerense,’ in reality we only have a series of studies on the development of the movement in the Buenos Aires province, produced in the last twenty years. In this way, we will account for the existing studies, which are characterized by having focused on the early, dynamic, and persistent developments of the movement, that is, those that took place in La Plata, Mar del Plata, and Bahía Blanca. These experiences, in university urban centers, differ from what occurred in other localities of the province, not yet systematically studied, where the training processes were slower, less visible, truncated or ephemeral, and on which we have reflected in other works.
