Based on Monteleone's theoretical model for the study of subjectivity in poetic imagery, in this work I propose, first, to characterize the different investitures that the subject of Jacobo Fijman's poetry received during the author's life (and which continue to this day); and second, to investigate the reasons for these readings by analyzing the deployment of subjectivity in Fijman's imagery. The hypothesis that "the convert," "the mystic," and "the visionary" sought to capture, by focusing on the author's life, what is, strictly speaking, the salient feature of this corpus: the detached nature of the subject. From the earliest to the latest texts, subjectivity is based on the rejection of an exterior, modern, and immoral present, and the sublimation of a purified and atopic interior, in a continuous gesture of tension, deviation, and rejection, even in Fijman's moments of closeness to groups or aesthetics.
