This paper seeks to consider the way in which Sandro Landi finds in the Discourse on Voluntary Servitude another mode of domination not considered as such until now. Therefore, in the first section, the Renaissance antecedents highlighted by the author are presented and we mention the relevance of a possible proximity with Politicus, Plato's late work. In the second section, we will consider three contemporary readings of the Discourse, which will allow us to question freedom within servitude. In the third section, we focus on the absence of philia politiké in the regime described by the young Frenchman and emphasize its place under the prism of Hannah Arendt. Finally, we conclude by rejecting the idea of a possible notion of power associated with domination per se.
