This article discusses the ecclesial movement Comunión y Liberación delving into some aspects of their identity construction. This movement was born in Italy in the '60s and arrived in Argentina in 1984 in a context of challenges and questions for the local Church. It is understood that the proposed analysis offers clues to a deeper understanding of the rearrangements of religion, and the institutions that manage the society of the late twentieth century. In this sense, the study of Comunión y Liberación sustains the hypothesis that the ecclesial movements are a channel of attraction to the religious universe of new believers or re- affiliation of those malcontents that takes place through an "institutional deregulation religious " ( Hervieu - Léger , 2004: 16).
