Said construct is composed of four components: effectiveness, optimism, hope and resilience. The engagement refers to an affective-cognitive state characterized by the vigor, dedication and absorption of a subject when performing a task. The academic performance is the result of the learning aroused by the didactic activity of the teacher and produced in the student. The present work aims to: 1) Study the association between psychological capital, engagement and academic performance in secondary students of Entre Ríos. 2) Study the predictive power of psychological capital and engagement on academic performance. We worked with a nonprobabilistic, intentional sample, made up of 313 high school students from Entre Ríos. The instruments used were: Psychological Capital Questionnaire adapted to the educational field; Utrecht-Work Scale commitment in its version for students; and annual averages of the students. The results indicate that there are positive associations between the variables studied. Psychological capital and engagement are significant predictors of academic performance, with hope being the predictive component.
