In this article I propose to give an account of some political itineraries in the defense of the water and the metropolitan wetland of Buenos Aires, within a larger project to map the resistances for the defense of the wetlands and their intrinsic ways of life. I will address the case study of the lower basin of the Reconquista River at its mouth in the Luján river basin, precisely the continental sector of the Tigre party and the First Section of the same island. Specifically I will investigate the appearance of “contaminated water" arises as a social and environmental problem, this impels the local population to generate collective actions and political groupings that are updated up to the present. From the political ecology and with a methodology of analysis of environmental conflicts, we will travel through these itineraries through a chronology of public events and conflicts, starting from the documentary analysis, participant observations and interviews with key informants that are part of local environmentalism.
