This chapter presented some of the results of research, development and innovation carried out in the physicochemical of materials department (PMD) associated with the study of the interaction of hydrogen materials, which involve from the synthesis, characterization and improvement of the HFM, to the study of their kinetic and thermodynamic properties. This knowledge obtained over the years constitutes the basis for the design and development of devices, where these HFM have been employed and successfully applied in the department of PMD. Three selected study cases are presented that show the potential of use of HFM in devices for energy applications: 1) Storage in mobile applications, 2) Hydrogen compression and 3) Purification of hydrogen.
