We approach sociological and historiographical dimensions of the transition from the frutihorticultural cycle to the agroindustrial cicle in the Alto Valle del Rio Negro, between the years 1964 and 1990. Metodology is qualitative with emphasis in the understanding process, working mainly with primary sources. We made an interview to a protagonist of the Regional Fruit Productors Movement and we could have access to a historical archive saved from the destruction by the political persecution of the years ´70.It seeks to demonstrate how the production processes were affected by actions or omissions generated at different levels of government and how collective actions and the role played by individuals with influence over diferent groups, could generate alternatives to overcome the crisis. However, the first and the last eruption economic powers of the military in national politics in 1976, truncated the potential for the organization and the emancipation that had the Regional Movement, which was finally dissolved in the ´90.
