The expansion of the agricultural and livestock frontier has been taking place in the province of Chaco since the end of the 19th century. Land clearance, the sale of public lands by the provincial government to agribusinessmen, together with the modification of production practices and the expulsion of the local population, gave rise to a process of deterritorialisation and reterritorialisation, which added to a process of accumulation “by incorporation”. The aim of this paper is to describe certain mechanisms through which agribusiness territorialises, by means of land grabbing, nature and indigenous culture, imposing transformations in the ways of living, inhabiting and local knowledge. To do so, we will rely on the results obtained in our fieldwork, which began in 2011 and continues today, in addition to in-depth interviews, observation and analysis of secondary sources and theoretical material.
