This paper intends to analyze sexual harassment in the confessional from a gender perspective, focusing particularly on social imaginaries about the role played by masculine and feminine inquisitors when they regulated this misdemeanor, and applied legal norms to specific causes. Taking this into account, we revisit formal complaints filed by women, harassed in the confessional by priest, before the Inquisition in Córdoba, along the XVIII Century, to figure out their profiles, concerns, and to understand to what extent their voices were listened, or the information they had was requested by the inquisitorial institution, in light of the regulations established by the Inquisition, the Church, and the Crown about clergy sexual morality, in force at that moment. Some of the questions that orient our work are: Who were these women? How were they related to the priests? What gender representations underlain the rules established, -considering the context where they were passed-, its implementation, and the legal practice? What was the Church goal when these women were considered presumptive victims, and therefore complainants? For this work, we will use documentary sources available at the Archbishop‟s Archive of Cordoba (Argentina), the National Historic Archive of Madrid (Spain), and the National Library of Chile
