The conclusion of international treaties without the intervention of the National Congress is a common practice in the foreign policy of the Argentinean state. However, despite this trend, the legal system of Argentina does not provide precise and specific constitutional references to regulate this type of treaties. For this reason, the elucidation of the legal effects and the constitutional compatibility of such treaties, concluded by a brief process, generated interest in a sector of the Argentinean doctrine. This contribution consists in a reflexive review of three contributions of the Argentinean legal literature that, for its consistency and quality, are considered classics in this topic.
