Resumen
The article is situated at the intersection of social studies on childhood, caregiving, and technologies. It particularly focuses on an emerging aspect from our qualitative fieldwork in the cities of Córdoba and La Plata (Argentina): the central role that information and communication technologies (ICTs) play in the cultural consumption of children and adolescents; the meanings, emotions, and tensions generated by the use, access, and appropriation of technology for parents and caregivers. We consider this relationship through the lens of care, since it is a playful-recreational practice often integrated into caregiving strategies.
