Resumen

March 22 was the “Lynch Syndrome Awareness Day”, an important date dedicated to raising public awareness about Lynch syndrome, the most frequent hereditary cancer syndrome. Dr. Henry Lynch was born in Massachusetts in 1928 and died in 2019 at age 91. His groundbreaking workrevolutionized the understanding of hereditary cancers and transformed Oncology and Medical Genetics, proving that many cancers have a hereditary basis, saving thousands oflives over the years. His dedication to patient care and scientific rigor established him as a legend in Cancer research. We here share the outcomes and significance of a recent meeting organized specifically for families with Lynch syndrome. The event brought together patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and researchers to address the multifaceted challenges associated with Lynch syndrome, providing a platform for education, shared decision-making, and peer support, and fostering a sense of community and resilience among those affected by this condition.
