In the present article we propose an argument for the interdisciplinary work between neurosciences and education, specifically in the study of motivation, given the potentiality of this relationship for the educational theory and practice. We consider that neurosciences and education share the same problem of learning and that education has the objective to bring up subjects who can solve problems, which is an issue that neurosciences are widely studying and in which motivation is really involved. We show some neuroscientific contributions to the study of motivational states and we integrate them to educational purposes. The educator play the role of vygotskyan scaffold being able to guide learning by helping to put light on the relevant aspects of the experience in order to orient pupil’s motivation and achieving the transference of learning.
