The Path of the Orchids and the Path of the Cardoncillos are natural remnants of steppe vegetation, preserved by neighbors since 2018. They are immersed in the Paseo del Este at the entrance of Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina. The objective was to assess the bloom of the species present, since it is the most attractive phase. Using visits and a photographic record every fifteen days, carried out during three years (2018-2021), the bloom time of 34 species was identified. It was found that flowering species can be seen for 10 months, with Tristagma patagonicum at the beginning of September. November is the month with the greatest number of flowering species, while in July and August there are not flowers. The lush, extensive and abundant bloom of the yellow-flowered orchid (Chloraea alpina), from September to November, is a worth highlighting. In conclusion, the need for the implementation of urban natural area monitoring programs is identified, so that they may be visited, known, and valued not only by locals, but also by tourists. To preserve these spaces, it is important to implement a management plan prior to tourism intervention. Studies such as this one provide science-based information and can be considered during ecotourism planning, allowing tourism to increase the quality of the product and/or diversify the offer.
