This article addresses, from an ethnographic perspective, the crisis caused by the covid-19 pandemic in tango circuits. We analyze how, in this disruptive situation, women are doubly affected, exposing the inequalities accumulation and the complexity of their problems. We also show how the organization and the recognition of the need for dialogue and union was strengthened in the collective of tango workers in general, and women and dissidents in particular. Thus, we conclude that the process that proposes to pluralize tango and to argue with stablished logics of recognition, accessibility and legitimacy within the tango circuits, took on new vigor during the covid-19 pandemic.
