This article problematizes, from the field of Anthropology and Education, the complexities around the implementation of the mixed class as part of an initiative related to the National Law on Comprehensive Sexual Education. Addressing specifically the educational aspects that, in school and non-school sport contexts, condition resistance practices from a group of students regarding said policy. The study carried out shows that, by participating in these contexts, the students appropriate the practices and meanings that are in tension with the ESI proposal. Particularly, aspects related to the term competition stand out, which, beyond the recognition of the mixed class, establish a way of playing when the sport is taken seriously. While this is typical of non-school educational spaces, it is revealed through ethnographic work how the competitive conception of sport is legitimized from the school institution. The work was carried out from an ethnographic approach through interviews with teachers and students, observations and research on documentary sources in a secondary school in Olavarría (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
