This article analyzes the relationship between foreign policy and economic policy during the presidential term of Arturo Frondizi in Argentina (1958-1962). Its objective is to provide elements for a better understanding of the “desarrollista” project in that country. Rereading the subject matter and using different sources, the article seeks to answer two main questions: first, the interpretation of a foreign policy with margins of autonomy from the United States; second, the correlation between economic project and international integration, their similarities and contradictions in the context of the Cold War.
