In this essay I focus on certain ideas of Posthumanism to show the need to read it in ethical terms. I understand ethics as a practice of the self that requires reading, meditation and writing exercises, based on reconsidering our tradition of thought and recovering the immanent relationship with the nature of which we are a part. I believe that it is still possible to practice philosophy as a rational knowledge that embodies and allows us to face personal death and even total extinction. And that the best antidote against despair continues to be a use of knowledge that can challenge the political transformations necessary to live better in an increasingly worse environment.
