Conjunto de datos vectorial de tipo poligonal que representa los radios censales definidos por el INDEC para el Censo Nacional de Población, Hogares y Viviendas 2022, filtrados según una densidad de población mayor a 1 habitante por hectárea. La capa conserva la geometría original provista por el INDEC (con las correcciones realizadas por Gonzalo M. Rodríguez CEUR-CONICET), e incluye los atributos administrativos asociados (radio censal, departamento y provincia). Se incorporaron atributos derivados a partir de fuentes oficiales: población total, cantidad de hogares y cantidad de viviendas por radio censal obtenidos de la base Redatam del INDEC. Se calcularon atributos como el área (ha), la densidad poblacional (hab/ha) y la cantidad de viviendas según cada tipo de tenencia del hogar (con su respectivo porcenstaje sobre el total de hogares) mediante herramientas de procesamiento en QGIS.
Información Técnica
This polygonal vector dataset represents the census tracts defined by INDEC for the 2022 National Population, Household, and Housing Census, filtered for population densities greater than 1 inhabitant per hectare. The layer retains the original geometry provided by INDEC (with corrections made by Gonzalo M. Rodríguez, CEUR-CONICET) and includes associated administrative attributes (census tract, department, and province). Attributes derived from official sources were incorporated: total population, number of households, and number of dwellings per census tract, obtained from INDEC's Redatam database. Attributes such as area (ha), population density (inhabitants/ha), and number of dwellings for each type of household tenure (with their respective percentage of total households) were calculated using QGIS processing tools.

Los datos geoespaciales de base correspondientes a radios censales provienen de la actualización de la cartografía oficial del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INDEC) para el Censo Nacional de Población, Hogares y Viviendas 2022, realizada por Gonzalo Martín Rodríguez (CEUR CONICET), que realizó correcciones de códigos de radio censal e incorporó nuevos polígonos para el sector Antártico e Islas del Atlántico Sur. No se realizaron modificaciones en la geometría de radios censales. Sólo se aplicó un filtro para seleccionar únicamente aquellos radios con densidad de población superior a un habitante por hectárea.
Sobre dicha cartografía se realizó la vinculación de atributos estadísticos obtenidos del sistema Redatam, disponibles en el repositorio institucional de INDEC, incluyendo población total, cantidad de viviendas, de hogares, y cantidad de hogares según regimen de tenencia.
A partir de esta integración, se generaron variables derivadas mediante la calculadora de campos de QGIS, entre las que se incluyen: (i) porcentaje de hogares pertenecientes a cada grupo; (ii) densidad de población (habitantes por hectárea); y (iv) superficie de cada radio censal.
Métodos
The base geospatial data corresponding to census radios comes from the update of the official cartography of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) for the National Census of Population, Households and Housing 2022, carried out by Gonzalo Martín Rodríguez (CEUR CONICET), who made corrections to census radio codes and incorporated new polygons for the Antarctic sector and South Atlantic Islands. No modifications were made to the geometry of census radii. Only a filter was applied to select only those radios with a population density greater than one inhabitant per hectare.
On this cartography, the linkage of statistical attributes obtained from the Redatam system, available in the INDEC institutional repository, was carried out, including total population, number of homes, households, and number of households according to tenure regime.
From this integration, derived variables were generated using the QGIS field calculator, including: (i) percentage of households belonging to each group; (ii) population density (inhabitants per hectare); and (iv) surface area of each census radius.
