Since Fourier unveiled its so famous law of heat conduction, the problem of heat transport is still open specially due to its application and conditions that it must fulfill for low dimensional systems. That is why and for its practical interest in technological development, the control of energy transport in low-dimensional nanoscale systems is an area of reasearch that has gained considerable interest in recent years. In particular we study the possibility of controlling the transmission of energy along a one-dimensional non-linear chain consisting of two conductors with different structures connected by a coupling temporally modulated. The ends of each conductor are coupled to thermal reservoirs also temporally modulated. We analyze the existence of thermal rectification and resonant behavior of the energy flow as a function of the characteristic frequencies of the system. We discuss the underlying physical mechanism.
