This article analyzes the visual representations of the Malvinas War in the official magazine Postas Argentinas during the civic-military dictatorship (1976–1983). It argues that postage stamps, as visual communication objects, were used to construct and disseminate the official narrative about the armed conflict. Through an analysis of the representations created by the images and discourses present on the stamps, the article seeks to identify how soldiers, enemies, the islands, and the war itself were discursively constructed, and how these representations contributed to shaping the collective memory of this historical event.
