The land is not only an important political and economic resource in Argentina but also a part of the foundation of social order. Its possession and use is influenced by public policies. Since 1970 the agricultural landowners are differenced from whom possess knowledge, technology and capital in agrarian Argentina. The consequences of this splitting meant important and complex transformations that define social practices associated with (the pampas) agriculture. They also impact in the policy-making, questioning and re signifying these actors and their roles. From the 90s, Direct Seeding promoted the expansion and consolidation of soybean in Argentina. This paper proposal is to analyze from a sociological approach -combining classical and contemporary perspectives- the impact of the unfolding of the agrarian social subject in rural elites, every time that public policy and government actions are based on these transformations and therefore, are modified.
