In this work, MCM-41 mesoporous silicates were prepared and modified with transition metals {Fe, Cor by a direct synthesis method. The influence of the metal content was tested varying the initial molar Si/Metal ratio (120, 60 or 20). The different meso-structures obtained were characterized byXRD, UVVIS-RD, N2 adsorption and the magnetic behavior was studied at room temperature. All samples showed typicalparamagnetic behavior, indicating high dispersión metal species. There was also an important siiperparamagnetic contribution for samples with the highest iron loading, indicating a greater magnetic interaction between the nano-species.
