The article aims to present two fieldwork experiences where the group interview was used as a technique for producing primary data. The interviews were planned in a traditional format of individual and semi-structured interviews, to be applied to women harvesters of yerba mate and lemon production, in two agricultural regions of Argentina. Given the impediment posed by the women motivated by their "lack of time", the group interview strategy was used, modifying and adapting the data production tool to this situation. On one hand, group interviews were applied to women yerba mate harvesters (tareferas) in the town of Andresito, province of Misiones (November 2019), and on the other to female lemon harvesters in the town of Santa Lucía, province of Tucumán (August 2023). This article reflects on the contributions, specificities and limitations of this primary data construction tool.
