In this paper we propose to analyze the origin and development, between 1879 and 1920, of the first seven national Normal Schools that settled in the province of Santa Fe, based on the annual reports that the directors had to present to the authorities. Likewise, we will briefly mention the course followed by the seven provincial Normal created in this same period. In general, it has been assumed that the national Normal Schools remained stable over time and were homogeneous training spaces. We seek to show that this look has neglected the territorial particularities where the Normal were inscribed, the different historical moments in which they were founded and has ignored the coexistence with the provincial institutions.
