This paper analyzes some reflections on the teaching of cultural diversity in teacher training. The discussions presented are guided by experiences in different areas of teacher training at the university and tertiary level, as well as in training spaces. They are supported at the same time, in reflections that arise from ethnographic research in the field of anthropology and education. After contextualizing the place of the issue in the current higher-level curriculum, the work postulates some dilemmas related to the teaching of categories and central discussions of the anthropological focus on cultural diversity. In particular, this approach is developed through the concept of culture, the paradigm of diversity in its historical and legal aspects, and its articulations with the notions of alterity, and inequality. Finally, it highlights the pedagogical relevance of analyzing the normative and prescriptive aspects of diversity as an institutional framework and as a teaching mandate.
