Peri-urban spaces are the transition zones between urban and rural areas, where phenomena of transformation and high social dynamics unfold. In them, complexity is one of the main factors, since they allow planning to minimize environmental risks and promote coexistence through the interrelation between object systems and social actors .The physical and natural conditions of each territory must be the baseline to establish local planning, and it must also consider the urban subsystem as well as the productive and natural subsystems. The theoretical interpretation of a geographic event in the Villa María suburban area was an appropriate tool as a trigger for the interdisciplinary approach to natural and cultural resources. The scheme of the system and the importance of social actors in the territory were obtained from the combination of various methodologies.
