This study aimed to evaluate the species richness of terrestrial mammals across the environmental units of the Veterinary Martín Rodolfo de la Peña Nature Reserve (RNMP). Five systematic surveys (2022- 2023), along with additional non-systematic surveys (2017-2021 and 2024) were conducted using a combination of methodologies including camera traps, footprint traps, live captures, active searches and direct observations. A total of 15 mammals’ species were recorded, highlighting: Puma concolor, Subulo gouazoubira, and Chrysocyon brachyurus, as well as two exotic species: Sus scrofa and Lepus europaeus. These results expand the checklist of mammals for the RNMP, and contribute to a better understanding of its biodiversity.
