In this article we propose to investigate the repercussions on the discursive-ideological level that the conflict between the so-called "Artigas Project" and the Etchevehere family acquired as a result of the occupation of the Casa Nueva ranch in October 2020. The conflict, initially of a private nature, gained notoriety at the national level, transferring there a construction of meanings beyond the conjunctural issue. The work is based on the statements found in the journalistic notes published by the national newspaper La Nación throughout the conflict. From there, we work on a qualitative-quantitative analysis that aims, through the construction of a series of categories, to account social representations that arise from this conflict. Thus, the content of the statements of various actors, the alliances they formed and their periodizations over time are analyzed.
