La violencia de la mirada: Una aproximación fenomenológico-literaria

Abstract

El artículo se propone elucidar el fenómeno de la mirada desde un doble abordaje, a saber, el fenomenológico y el literario, considerando que ambos pueden constituir una metodología propia de una filosofía de lo sensible como literatura. En primer lugar, se analizará el ejercicio de la mirada que en su aproximación al mundo lo escorza y, por lo tanto, lo limita para posibilitar su aprehensión. En este apartado se apelará a los textos de Eduardo Del Estal y Alessandro Baricco y se comparará el ejercicio de la mirada con el del lenguaje con quien comparte similitudes significativas: ambos suponen un ejercicio de determinada violencia en la captación del fenómeno. En segundo lugar, a partir de las reflexiones de Jean-Paul Sartre y Marcel Proust, profundizaremos en un análisis de la mirada en tanto es dirigida a otro o sobre nosotros, como mirada violenta que objetiva y, a su vez, manifiesta un límite infranqueable.The article aims to elucidate the phenomenon of the look from a double approach, namely the phenomenological and the literary, considering that both can constitute a methodology proper to a philosophy of the sensible as literature. In the first place, we will analyse the exercise of the look which, in its approach to the world, foreshorten it and, therefore, limit it in order to make its apprehension possible. In this section, the texts of Eduardo Del Estal and Alessandro Baricco will be used to compare the exercise of the look with that of language, with which they share significant similarities: both involve an exercise of a certain violence in the capture of the phenomenon. Secondly, based on the reflections of Jean-Paul Sartre and Marcel Proust, we will delve into an analysis of the look as it is directed at another or at ourselves, as a violent look that objectifies and, at the same time, manifests an insurmountable limit.
