In the present paper I intend to examine Enrico Tedeschi’s (1910-1978) itinerary between Italy and Argentina, as well as to point out the relevant contexts that will enable us to understand the diverse fortune that his ideas had in the country. During the 50s and 60s Tedeschi could organize a national and international network that allowed him to become a central figure in Argentine archite/ural culture. From the late 60s on, his ideas began to be criticized and were displaced from the debates on archite/ure, partly due to the radicalization process that took place in Argentina. >us, through his figure, I suggest some general considerations about the formative moment in the field of archite/ural history in Argentina. Finally, this paper aims to recover, from the point of view of Intelle/ual History, some aspe/s of the archite/ural culture as a specific part of a Cultural History.
