At the last decades, the analytic philosophy has revived several traditional metaphysical problems. One of these is the persistence or identity through time of material objects. In short, this problem consists of to find an answer to the question: how is it possible that an object exists at different times? Although has not been taken into account for the current discussions, Dewey's Logic to offer a proposed explanation for the persistence. The main idea to achieve this is to assume that there is no question of objects beyond the research process. This is because the objects are determined on experience (understanding this, not mere mental activity, but as an interaction between the living creature and its environment). What allows identify and re-identify an object through time, is not the possession of some mysterious universal entity (either some kind of substantial quality or location in space-time), but the function that assume certain qualities in a field of experience (total situation, or an experience). This field experience is individual. Their individuality arises from some ineffable quality that pervades and unifies elements that would otherwise remain disconnected. Ultimately, the proposal developed in this work lies in this simple but fruitful notion.
