Tensiones conceptuales entre la identidad y la alteridad en la formación del individuo social

Abstract

El presente estudio muestra la tensión y complementariedad de los conceptos de identidad y alteridad en el proceso de socialización de los individuos desde las perspectivas de Cornelius Castoriadis, Claude Dubar y François Dubet. Las aportaciones de Castoriadis ofrecen elementos para reconocer la capacidad creativa del individuo en el proceso de socialización, así como para problematizar el papel tan complejo que juega la alteridad en la construcción de la identidad en las sociedades actuales.The present study reflects on the tension and complementarity of the concepts of identity and otherness in the individual’s process of socialization, according to the viewpoints of Cornelius Castoriadis, Claude Dubar and François Dubet. Castoriadis’ contributions offer some insight into the recognition of the creative capacity of the individual in the process of socialization, as well as a means to make more problematic the complex role of otherness in the construction of the identity in present day societies.
